Federica is an amateur photographer who has always had an eye for details and a visual approach to things. Since she was a little girl looking at her uncle’s work as a photographer, she started feeling an instinctive attraction to the colours, the details and the expressions of the subjects of his shots.

 

This natural inclination for a visual language and empathy has then evolved into a passion for photography, especially street photography, where life of ordinary people was her main focus.

 

Federica considers photography as an "emotional medium", a way to connect with other’s feelings by capturing their expressions, gestures, looks and habits into a frame and inevitably relate to them.

 

Through her work, Federica aims at telling stories, by intentionally or randomly capturing pieces of reality and combining them into cohesive, joyful narratives.

 

After an invaluable time spent in Denmark and London, Federica is currently based in Milan where she works as a building design consultant.
